This is a levitating machine. With the help of a block and tackle system, it slowly levitates a cinder block about 1 foot off of the ground. It served as a prototype for Leak To Lower Lazy Levitating Load.

The entire system is regulated by a MMMSE (Modified Montréal-Saskatoon Miller Solar Engine), thus it is totally dependent on available light, weather conditions etc. It may take anywhere from a few hours to several days (or more) to levitate the cinder block.
